We’ve downed plenty of green juices and wheatgrass shots in our time, but our new healthy beverage of choice is this smooth tea. It rids your body of pent-up toxins, boosting your energy while lowering your stress levels. We love that the brew tastes earthy, not bitter, and is laced with the exotic flavor of lemongrass. This 24-pack comes with beautiful, individually sealed muslin bags, which will stay fresh for ages.

Lovely tea

Like a lot of other reviewers, I love the muslin bags. To me this tea has a very light and pleasant taste. I can brew two cups from one bag without a noticeable weakening of the second cup. As for detox, I haven't noticed any difference. I would definitely purchase this again as just a wonderful tea to drink.

Love tea, but this one is expensive!

Was surprised to see a tea bag in my sample box, but I love tea! Really like the lemongrass flavors in this one, but while I love the idea of a detoxifying tea I don't think my wallet can handle the price tag.

Kusmi Tea – The Unexpected Beverage And Dessert Pairing You Need To Try Now!

Tea is believed to have originated from China, with its first record dating back to 200BC, before it spread to other parts of the world. Today, tea has become a staple in our society and was actually the second most popular drink in the world until coffee took over in recent years.

Founded by Pavel Michailvitch Kouichoff in 1867, Kusmi Tea boasts a venerable collection of teas. There are 100 variants of black teas, green teas, red teas and infusions. Impressive, isn’t it? Started in Paris in 1970, Kusmi Tea is king when it comes to tea in France. They have 70 stores in France! After their launch in Japan last month, Kusmi Tea is now entering the South-East Asian market with their first branch right here in Takashimaya Singapore!

With 150 years of experience in tea-brewing, Kusmi Tea’s strict use of only whole tea leaves yields a unique richness and clarity that is evident in their blends. To ensure consistency in quality, Kusmi Tea only packages their tea in their workshops in Normandy. Amongst a flurry of new tea infusions and flavors, it can get pretty mind-boggling when it comes to deciding which teas to get, so Kusmi Tea has kindly recommended a couple of pairings with Venchi chocolates to sweeten up your day, and life!

Some food pairings are natural but others like tea and chocolate may not seem like it. Nonetheless, here’re a few pairings of Kusmi Tea and Venchi chocolate which we loved! I especially liked the pairing of Kusmi Tea’s Aquarosa with a square (or squares) of Montezuma extra dark chocolate from Venchi. I’m not a fan of fruit teas but the balance and aroma of Aquarosa was just alluring. Aquarosa is inspired by Abyssinian Pink Tea, which is a blend based on Hibiscus hailing from South Africa. It is an intense pink hue, and its fruity characteristics become apparent as you brew the tea. The main ingredient, however, comes from the lush pink tinge apple which is reminiscent of summer. Together with other ingredients such as red berries, black berries and elderberries, Aquarosa makes for a perfect afternoon sip. The dark chocolate adds a captivating contrast with its appetizing bitterness, without stealing the limelight from the tea. I didn’t think they would go so well together, but I guess sometimes the least expected pairings just work the best.

If you’re more of a sweet tooth, you can opt for the BB Detox tea with cubes of the Cremino 1878. The BB Detox Tea is a delicate blend of green tea, maté, rooibos, guarana and dandelion with a hint of grapefruit. Upon opening the tin, you’ll catch a whiff of fresh grapefruit which is simply inviting. When brewed, the tea possesses a light tart flavor. Weird, I never knew that detox teas could be this tasty! The Cremino 1878 from Venchi features a layer of white chocolate and almond paste sandwiched between 2 creamy layers of milk chocolate gianduja. One cube of chocolate was sufficient for me considering that the chocolate is significantly sweeter than the tea. I think the pairing works well because the light milk chocolate doesn’t overpower the complexities of the exquisite BB Detox tea. The fragrant grapefruit flavor adds a dimension of flavor to the already heavenly match. Its a given that green tea naturally pairs well with white and milk chocolate, and this is no exception.

The last pairing is for those who enjoy a more adventurous flavor profile – Spearmint Green Tea and Venchi Cherry-In-Black. Initially, I was kind of iffy about having spearmint in my tea but I was pleasantly surprised. Though prevalent in the steep, the spearmint isn’t astringent nor overly raw but, in fact, pleasantly refreshing with a gentle brush of menthol at the back. The Spearmint Green Tea managed to achieve an excellent balance between the flavours of spearmint and green tea. Even if you’re not fond of mint, you might just find yourself loving this. Bite into a block of decadent dark chocolate to reveal a sweet cherry-filled lava core. The 56% cocoa chocolate offers the perfect amount of bitterness which doesn’t overwhelm the fruity sweetness of the liquid core. When taken together, the light notes of mint from the tea juxtaposes against the bitter-sweet chocolate, but somehow works in tandem. I especially liked that the tea has a slightly dry finish but is complemented by the fruity sweetness from the chocolate cube. It’s not my favorite pairing but nevertheless a noteworthy one that’s definitely worth a try.

Owing to their high antioxidant levels, most teas are chock full of health benefits including aiding in weight lost and the lowering of bad cholesterol. However, for those who really want to enjoy the full benefits of their teas, you can opt for their detox tea. Some teas, like black tea, lose antioxidants through the process of fermentation but Detox from Kusmi Tea is guaranteed to be packed with all the goodness you’ll ever need. Detox is green tea-based because green teas tend to have higher levels of flavonoids. With a healthy blend of lemongrass and maté, Detox is your drink if you want to unwind, relax, and rejuvenate. If you like, you can even drop some ice cubes in to enjoy it chilled!

I love classics because it’s really quite difficult to go wrong with those. Ergo, my personal favorite was a blend based on classic teas like Earl Grey and English Breakfast. I’m a sucker for Earl Grey tea, so Prince Vladmir naturally appealed to me. Prince Vladmir is a blend of Earl Grey, orange peel, bergamot, grapefruit and lime. The deep mahogany-coloured tea has a distinct citrusy aroma that’s impossible to miss. Savour the intense flavor of the earl grey tea and notes of vanilla balanced with prominent citrus, as they culminate in a long smooth finish. Prince Vladmir was created in 1888 in honor of the Vladmir the Great, ruler of Holy Russia, and has been one of their most beloved blends for generations. The citrus adds a nice touch of tanginess and complements the cloves elegantly. I liked how none of the ingredients overpowered the drink, which resulted in a well-rounded and flavorful steep. Overall, Prince Vladmir is a very tasty tea that I enjoyed and will be back to get more of. Another noteworthy flavor is the St Petersburg tea, which is another delicious blend of earl grey, caramel, red fruits and a touch of vanilla.

Teas aren’t just meant to be served hot for sipping. In fact, you can savour your teas chilled and even with a mix of alcohol. Launched last year, Kusmi Tea’s Iced Tea collection is perfect for parties or really hot humid afternoons. We got a box of their assorted iced teas which includes Ice Grapefruit (BB Detox blend), Blue Ice (Blue Detox Blend), AquaFizz(Fruit-infused Aquarosa), Very Mint (Spearmint Green Tea) and Frosted Strawberry (Strawberry green tea). I prefer my teas hot but, if I had to pick, my favourites are the AquaFizz and Frosted Strawberry. Coupled with ice, the teas made a refreshing drink that is much needed given our sunny weather. The teas come in muslin tea bags so you’ll have to brew it like regular tea before adding ice. You can also experiment with vodka and juices if you’re looking for a tasty alcoholic mix.

I’m no tea connoisseur but I do enjoy a good cuppa every now and then. Whether you enjoy your tea black, chilled, with sugar, or with a splash of milk, I’m sure you’ll find a blend in Kusmi Tea’s arsenal that’ll be your cup of tea.

El té Kusmi: ¿bebida antiedad y producto de belleza?

Este té tiene infinitas propiedades que proporcinan muchos efectos beneficiosos a nuestra piel y ayudan a tener un aspecto joven y sano. En Bekia Belleza te explicamos todos los detalles al respecto.

El té tiene una infinidad de propiedades beneficiosas para nuestro cuerpo. Muchos de nosotros hemos sustituido el café por él. Además, al ser un producto muy común en numerosos países de Asia, disponemos de una gran variedad para escoger.

Los hay con teína, que tiene un efecto similar a la cafeína, pero siete veces menos intenso o malicioso para nuestro organismo. También, según la variedad, puede tener efectos diuréticos, tranquilizantes, aliviadores de dolores de garganta o estómago e incluso, como en el caso del de jengibre, pueden ayudarnos a prevenir futuros catarros o resfriados.

Pero, sorprendentemente, cuando creíamos conocer todas las propiedades y efectos beneficiosos del esta bebida para nuestra salud, la marca francesa Kusmi tea nos deleita con su selección de tes con propiedades insospechables hasta el momento y lo denominan, nada más y nada menos, como: el brebaje de la belleza.

Historia del té Kusmi

Los inicios de la marca se remontan a hace más de 140 años, cuando su creador, Pavel Michailovitch Kousmichoff, aprendió el arte de mezclar el té. En el año 1867, Kousmichoff, abrió su primera tienda de tes. Poco después, en el año 1901, Kousmichoff ya era rico y contaba con 11 tiendas de tes en su San Petersburgo natal.

Más adelante, realizó varios viajes por Europa para aprender el arte del té, donde, además, abrió varias tiendas y extendió el negocio. Entre estas ciudades se encuentran Londres, Berlín y París. No obstante, Kousmichoff murió poco después del fin de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y su hijo mayor quedó a cargo del negocio. Desgraciadamente, sus dotes en cuanto a conocimiento de variedades y venta del té no fueron tan excelentes como los de su padre y terminó vendiendo la cadena Kusmi tea.

Pasó en este período de mano en mano siempre vendiendo, pero con altibajos. Hasta que, finalmente, en el año 2003 los hermanos Orebi compraron la compañía y decidieron arriesgarse de nuevo a vender una gran variedad de tes como lo hizo el mismo Kousmichoff.

Dichosamente, los hermanos han sido capaces de resurgir la marca Kusmi y desarrollar con ella una insuperable y excelente reputación mundial en el mercado de este tipo de brebajes. La marca Kusmi tea, hoy en día, se encuentra basada en París, algo que le da un toque muy chic a la par que de gran calidad.

La procedencia de sus tes la encontramos en las montañas de Himalaya y es muy importante para la marca que se recoja y crezca en las condiciones ideales para mantener su frescura y sabor. Cabe destacar el original paquete que contiene el té ya que son, en su mayoría, latas con una llamativa y moderna etiqueta con el nombre de la marca.

Los precios son relativamente asequibles, pero es que lo más asombrosamente está aún por ver: nos venden latas, que de lejos, no nos parecerían contener té dentro, quizás algún producto de cosmética. Y aquí está la clave de este producto. No únicamente nos están ofreciendo una bebida sana y apetecible, sino que también nos prometen un secreto de belleza, amor, purificante e, incluso, para levantarnos el ánimo.

Propiedades del té kusmi antiedad

Las cremas de belleza están pasando por su mejor momento económicamente en nuestros días. Su producción no para de crecer, ni tampoco sus ventas. El año pasado vendieron, nada más y nada menos que 23 millones de libras en el Reino Unido.

La marca Kusmi tea ha sabido, muy apropiadamente, incorporarse a este mercado y lo ha hecho creando una bebida que promete dejarte una piel más suave y brillante, eliminando toxinas de tu cuerpo y ayudando a la pérdida de peso no deseado. Muchas modelos de todo el mundo ya han caído en el hechizo de esta marca y prometen que beber una taza de té Kusmi a diario ha mejorado notablemente su piel y su salud dejándoles un rostro perfecto para las pasarelas internacionales.

El té Kusmi antiedad (Detox) es la selección de la marca que asegura ser, además de purificador de toxinas, antiedad y preventor de arrugas. ¿Mito o realidad científica?

El té es una bebida muy recomendable, aunque no deberíamos excedernos en cuanto a su uso: sí es bueno beberla, pero no más de una o dos tazas al día. Si bebemos tanta cantidad como recomienda el fabricante y tenemos problemas diuréticos, no nos estará ayudando en absoluto. Además de que pueden sernos perjudiciales. Por lo tanto, es recomendable consultarlo con un médico o el farmacéutico antes de hacer este tipo de dietas o procedimientos de belleza.

Si bien es cierto que las propiedades de los contenidos en los tes son beneficiosos, también lo es que no lo son para todo el mundo. Así que el mito estaría en generalizar y, si el médico no nos recomienda no utilizarlo, probarlo por nosotros mismos. Lo más probable es que tomando este producto con una dieta sana, haciendo ejercicio y eliminando malos hábitos como el consumo abundante de alcohol y el tabaco, nuestra piel mejorará indudablemente y aparecerá más joven y libre de impurezas.

Otras bebidas que te pueden ayudar

Durante muchos años las marcas de agua nos han anunciado constantemente las cualidades beneficiosas del consumo de litro y medio de la misma. Gluten-free Kusmi Tea infused no-bake Raspberry Cake

Since a long time we really wanted to bake a tea infused cake and also a cake with hibiscus flowers, not necessary in that combination, but both was on our to-do list. When KUSMI TEA asked us, if we want to collaborate, we were really stoked, when we saw their new tea AQUAROSA. It contains hibiscus, apple, red berries, mulberry leaves, elderberry and flavoring. We immediately had this cake in mind, as it fits so well with this delicious tea.

The base is made with gluten-free cookies and the raspberry creams are sweetend with a syrup, that Nora made out of the aquarosa tea. You can also use the syrup to make a delicious, easy and refreshing drink for hot summer days. All you need are some ice cubes, fresh mint, water and then add as much as you want of the syrup. So delicious!

Gluten-free Kusmi Tea infused No-bake-Cake

Ingredients for a 16cm-ø springform pan

Aquarosa-tea-syrup (for about 400ml syrup)

• 25g aquarosa-tea
• 500ml water
• 500ml sugar

Cookie crust

• 200g butter cookies or similar, glutenfree
• 100g butter
• 1 dash of salt
• 2 tbsp sugar

Raspberry cream layers

• 600g frozen raspberries
• 300g aquarosa-syrup
• 175g goat cheese quark (or cow quark or another fresh cheese or cream cheese)
• 175g mascarpone
• 150g heavy cream
• 1 vanilla bean
• 200ml milk
• 200ml water
• about 20g agar-agar (or you can use another gelling agent)

• fresh raspberries

Aquarosa-tea-syrup

Bring water to boil and let tea infuse for 30min, drain off and fill tea together with sugar into a saucepan. Boil syrup for 30min, then fill into a hot rinsed bottle.

Cookie crust

Fill the cookies into an airtight bag and crush them with a rolling pin or similar into crumbs. Melt the butter and mix butter, crumbs, salt and sugar. Line the bottom of a springform pan with baking paper and fill the crumb-mix on it, then press firmly with a tablespoon – leave the base in the fridge.

Raspberry cream layers

Fill frozen raspberries and 200ml water into a saucepan and warm slowly until all raspberries are soft, then purée. Boil raspberry sauce for 10min, then let cool down a bit. Whip heavy cream. Blend goat cheese quark with mascarpone and vanilla seeds. Mix 250g of the quark-mix with 200g raspberry sauce and 150g syrup – fold in all of the whipped cream and place in the fridge. Blend leftover quark-mix, raspberry sauce and syrup. Fill 100ml milk into a saucepan and stir in 10g agar-agar, then bring to boil for 1min (stir constantly) and fill quickly afterwards into a mixing bowl – stir in the darker raspberry cream, then fill onto the cake base. Leave cream for at least 30min in the fridge – start the second layer, when the surface of the first one is gelled. For the lighter raspberry cream repeat the process: fill 100ml milk into a saucepan and stir in 10g agar-agar, then bring to boil for 1min (stir constantly) and fill quickly afterwards into a mixing bowl – stir in the lighter raspberry cream, then fill onto the first layer. Leave cream for at least 2-3hours in the fridge until every layer is completely gelled. Move along the inner side of the springform pan with a knife, then remove the springform pan carefully and place the cake on a cake plate. Decorate cake with fresh raspberries. In the summer you can serve cooled water with a hint of the tea-syrup.

Schon seit längerer Zeit wollten wir einen Kuchen verfeinert mit einer Tee-Note backen und auch einen Kuchen, der mit Hibiskusblüten verziert ist – nicht unbedingt in dieser Kombination, aber beides stand auf unserer to-do Liste. Als KUSMI TEA uns dann gefragt hat, ob wir lust auf eine Kooperation haben, waren wir sofort begeistert von ihrem neuen AQUAROSA Tee. Er beinhaltet nämlich Hibiskus, Apfel, rote Beeren, Maulbeer Blätter, Holunderbeeren und Aroma. Sofort hatten wir diesen Kuchen im Kopf – er passt wirklich unglaublich gut zum köstlichen Tee. Der Boden dieses no-bake-Kuchens besteht aus glutenfreien Keksen und die Himbeer-Cremes haben wir mit Sirup gesüßt, den Nora aus dem Aquarosa-Tee gekocht hat. Ihr könnt aus dem Sirup übrigens auch wunderbar einen einfachen und erfrischenden Sommerdrink kreieren. Alles was man dafür braucht, sind Eiswürfel, ein bisschen frische Minze, Wasser und nach belieben Sirup. Wirklich köstlich!!

Glutenfreier no-bake-Himbeer-Kuchen mit selbstgemachtem Kusmi-Tee-Sirup

Zutaten für eine 16cm-ø Springform

Aquarosa-Tee-Sirup (für etwa 400ml Sirup)

• 25g Aquarosa-Tee
• 500ml Wasser
• 500ml Zucker

• 200g Butterkekse o.ä. glutenfrei
• 100g Butter
• 1 Prise Salz
• 2 EL Zucker

Himbeer-Creme-Schichten

• 600g Tk-Himbeeren
• 300g Aquarosa-Sirup
• 175g Ziegenquark (o. Kuhquark oder auch Frischkäse)
• 175g Mascarpone
• 150g Schlagsahne
• 1 Vanilleschote
• 200ml Milch
• 200ml Wasser
• etwa 20g Agar-Agar (oder ein anderes Geliermittel verwenden)

• frische Himbeeren

Aquarosa-Tee-Sirup

Wasser zum kochen bringen und Tee aufgiessen – 30min ziehen lassen, dann absieben. Tee in einen Topf füllen, Zucker hinzufügen und für 30min köcheln lassen. In eine heiß ausgespülte Flasche füllen.

Kekse in einem Frischhaltebeutel mit einem Nudelholz o.ä. zu Keksbröseln zerschlagen. Butter schmelzen und Keksbrösel mit Butter, Salz und Zucker verrühren. Den Boden einer Springform mit Backpapier auslegen und die Keksmasse darauf schütten – mit einem Löffel oder Servierstempel gleichmäßig und fest andrücken, dann in den Kühlschrank stellen.

Himbeer-Creme-Schichten

Tk-Himbeeren mit 200ml Wasser in einen Topf füllen und erwärmen bis alle Himbeeren weich sind, dann pürieren. Himbeersauce für 10min einköcheln lassen. Kurz abkühlen lassen. Schlagsahne aufschlagen. Ziegenquark mit Mascarpone und dem Mark der Vanilleschote verrühren. 250g der Quarkmischung mit 200g Himbeersauce und 150g Sirup verrühren – dann die komplette Schlagsahne unterheben – in den Kühlschrank stellen. Die übriggebliebene Quarkmischung, Himbeersauce und Sirup verrühren. In einem kleinen Topf 100ml Milch mit 10g Agar-Agar verrühren und für 1min unter ständigem rühren aufkochen, zügig in eine Schüssel füllen und dunklere Himbeer-Creme dazugiessen und unterrühren. Creme auf den Keksboden füllen und für wenigstens 30min in den Kühlschrank stellen – bis die oberste Schicht geliert ist und man die zweite darüber gießen kann. Für die helle Himbeer-Creme nochmals in einem kleinen Topf 100ml Milch mit 10g Agar-Agar verrühren und für 1min unter ständigem rühren aufkochen, zügig in eine Schüssel füllen und helle Himbeer-Creme dazugießen und unterrühren. Creme auf die erste Himbeerschicht giessen. Für mindestens 2-3 Stunden in den Kühlschrank stellen, bis beide Schichten fest geworden sind. Mit einem geraden Messer entlang des inneren Springformrands entlangfahren, dann vorsichtig den Springformrand lösen und den Kuchen auf einen Teller heben. Mit frischen Himbeeren dekorieren. Im Sommer kann man gekühltes Wasser mit einem Schuss Sirup und etwas Minze dazu servieren.
