International Coffee Big Shots at Schärf World

Nomination characterises the Austrian Coffeeshop Company as an international Brand.

On the 8 th and 9th October the "European Coffee Symposium" will take place in Vienna. One agenda highlight is the visit of participating coffee experts of the Schärf World “The ART of coffee” in Neusiedl am See. At the multinational meeting in the Vienna Hofburg companies of the coffee sector will be honoured. The nomination of the Coffeeshop Company for the "Most Admired Coffee Chain fire Austria and Germany" means the first time a possible award for an Austrian company in this business.

"The creation of harmony between human beings and coffee is important to me. This nomination for a Company Award proves that we successfully managed. It means a lot in terms of motivation for my team and me, especially for further consistent expansion plans”, says Reinhold Schärf, CEO of Schärf Coffee Shop GmbH.

The "European Coffee Symposium" is the premier event of the coffee industry. From the 8th to 9th October the European meeting will take place in the Vienna Hofburg, with its first time “Meet the Buyer Event”. One agenda highlight is a visit to the exclusive ambiance of the Schärf World "The ART of coffee" in Neusiedl am See. There, coffee industry giants will find a multimedia company tour, personally presented by Coffeeshop Company founder Reinhold Schärf. In the Vienna Hofburg Mr. Schärf will further present his vision and ideas, based on his principles: “Loving two things: Coffee and human beings!”

More than 300 experts nominated the Austrian Schärf Coffeeshop Company for an award in the category of" Most Admired Coffee Chain fire Austria and Germany". The nomination is based on the in the “Allegra European Coffee Leader Survey".

Dr. Bohrer Lasertec at Technologiezentrum Neusiedl (TZN) is easily accessible by car. Directions are clearly marked with signs on the motorway A4 pointing to "Neusiedl am See". Take the exit "Neusiedl am See" (km 43) and simply follow the direction to city "Neusiedl am See". Stay straight on the B50, use the left exit at the first roundabout (direction to Merkur supermarket) and then the right exit at the next roundabout (direction Obi hardware store). Go to the left at the next junction and then to the left in front of the TZN. You can see the big modern building with the name "Technologiezentrum Neusiedl" and "SchГ¤rf Kaffee" on it. You’ll find ample free parking adjacent right to the TZN marked as "Besucher" (visitors).

Take the East Motorway (Ostautobahn) exit "Neusiedl am See" and see details above. It takes 30 minutes to get from Vienna to our company.

From Budapest Some trains will take you from Budapest to "Parndorf Ort". It’s very likely that you have to change to a local train some stations before.

From Bratislava Two trains per hour will take you from Bratislava to "Parndorf Ort".

Travelling by plane

Vienna International Airport is located just about 20 minutes drive from Dr. Bohrer Lasertec. Several taxi companies offer transfer services with experienced chauffeurs to us and back to the airport or Vienna city centre. Enter a word (“newspaper”), a word combination (“exciting trip”) or a phrase (“with all good wishes”) into the search box. The search engine displays hits in the dictionary entries plus translation examples, which contain the exact or a similar word or phrase.

This new feature displays references to sentence pairs from translated texts, which we have found for you on the Internet, directly within many of our PONS dictionary entries.

A click on the tab “Usage Examples” displays a full inventory of translations to all of the senses of the headword. Usage examples present in the PONS Dictionary will be displayed first.

What are the advantages?

The PONS Dictionary delivers the reliability of a dictionary which has been editorially reviewed and expanded over the course of decades. In addition, the Dictionary is now supplemented with millions of real-life translation examples from external sources. So, now you can see how a concept is translated in specific contexts. You can find the answers to questions like “Can you really say … in German?” And so, you will produce more stylistically sophisticated translations.

Where do the “Examples from the Internet” come from?

The “Examples from the Internet” do, in fact, come from the Internet. We are able to identify trustworthy translations with the aid of automated processes. The main sources we used are professionally translated company, and academic, websites. In addition, we have included websites of international organizations such as the European Union. Because of the overwhelming data volume, it has not been possible to carry out a manual editorial check on all of these documents. So, we logically cannot guarantee the quality of each and every translation. This is why they are marked “not verified by PONS editors”.

What are our future plans?

We are working on continually optimizing the quality of our usage examples by improving their relevance as well as the translations. In addition, we have begun to apply this technology to further languages in order to build up usage-example databases for other language pairs. We also aim to integrate these usage examples into our mobile applications (mobile website, apps) as quickly as possible.
