My Cafe: Recipes and Stories Cheats, Tips, and Tricks 2017
My Café: Recipes and Stories is a mobile restaurant simulation game that allows you to help your servers in tending to the customers. This wonderful cast of characters comes into your café not only to sate their appetite but also to talk. You will learn more about their lives and even help them decide on certain important matters like who to marry or what to do. In turn they can help you learn about new recipes and lead you to rewarding quests. It adds a fun new twist to the genre without having to rely too much on fast reflexes or hacks in 2017 to appease demanding customers.
If you are on the quest to become the next greatest cafe owner in 2017 then our My Café: Recipes and Stories tips and tricks might be of help to you.
My Café: Recipes and Stories Cheats, Tips, and Tricks
My Café: Recipes and Stories Pricing Tips
Early in the game you will be taught how to increase or decrease the prices of your menu items. Don’t be afraid to spike it up until the price becomes yellow in color. This means that it is a bit expensive but it will not turn off customers most of the time. Sure there will be those who are not willing to pay but there will be those who are hungry enough to bite your declared price tag. Leave it as is until you have a rather large café with a lot of customers then you can tone the prices down to a dark green color.
Focus on maxing out Ann’s All Item Prices skill so you can raise how much your menu items cost. If you reach level 10 on that skill you can give all your items an increase of 30%, allowing you to go past the numbers that used to be yellow in color.
My Café: Recipes and Stories Recipe Combinations
There are certain recipes that are fairly obvious when the customers mention it. For example the Double Espresso is just two cups of that kind of joe, and Americano Milk is… you guessed it: Americano and Milk. However there are other recipes that you’ll have to either guess or look around in the customer dialogue for clues. Here are a few to help you build up your list:
- AmericanowithCinnamon: Americano, Cinnamon, Milk
- BavarianCoffee: Americano, Lemon, Chocolate Syrup, Chocolate Shavings
- EnglishTea: Tea and Milk
- Frappe: Espresso, Ice, Whipped Cream. Add Chocolate Syrup and Caramel Syrup / Chocolate Shavings / Vanilla Syrup for Caramel, Chocolate, and Vanilla Frappe respectively.
- Megaccino: Two Cappuccinos, Chocolate Shavings, Chocolate Syrup
- Mocha: Espresso, Milk, Chocolate Syrup
- Paradise Glace: Chocolate Syrup, Espresso, Vanilla Ice Cream, Whipped Cream, Vanilla Syrup
- Strawberry Croissant: Croissant, Strawberry Ice Cream, Vanilla Syrup, Whipped Cream
- White Cafe Glace: Espresso, Milk, Vanilla Ice Cream
My Café: Recipes and Stories Customer Hints
The game puts an emphasis on directly interacting with customers instead of just watching your AI-controlled servers take orders. Help Ann and your other servers by taking orders and preparing the machines in case they don’t have an available product. This will help speed things up and gives you something to do aside from staring at your screen.
The distance between your machines and your customer’s tables do not matter if you are helping Ann with the orders. However if you let the servers work by themselves then it is important that the tables and the counters should be as close as possible.
Take note at the seemingly-random chatter of your customers. Most of these messages may just be random sentences but some are actually hints or questions with rewards. For example Koffsky (the guy in the black suit) can give you hints about recipe combinations if you answer his questions correctly which are pretty easy. Bill (the spectacled guy with a blue shirt and tablet) will ask you three questions per day regarding random trivia like birch trees or anything else that can be easily searched in Google. Correctly answering his queries will reward you with 75 gold.
Quests are indicated by a gem at the end of the sentence when you check them in your text log. At the early parts of the game these quests are usually customers requesting you to purchase new equipment so you can serve them a desired food or drink.
My Café: Recipes and Stories Café Tips and Tricks
Placing decorations on your café is more than just for aesthetics. These decors will also help increase your income as customers will give a tip if you match their preferred style. A customer will give a hint about the urgency of buying a French Latte Art early in the game. Fulfill her request and you will be rewarded with a couple of bucks’ worth of tips. You can actually mix and match different styles so you can have Chinese and Italian decorative pieces at the same time, but focusing only on a single style nets more income. If you don’t know what is the style of a specific piece of furniture then tap the small “I” on the top-right corner in the catalog.
It would be best if you position the counters and stools near the entrance so your customers can sit immediately and eat rather than letting them walk across your entire café before they could give an order. Only when you have a good income should you focus on arranging everything based on your dream café.
The furniture that you no longer use can be sold later in the game to Margaret but she will offer a very low price. You can also do this only once a day. When you hit level 16 a new character will enter your café and offer to buy three of your stuff every day.
My Café: Recipes and Stories Special Spices Tips
Certain recipes can be added with a dash of a special spice. Doing so will boost its price to more than a hundred bucks. A spice box on a stand is the first thing you will need before you start collecting it. Other than purchasing with real money, there are a few things you can do to make sure that the spice must flow into your box.
Ann’s Daily Gift skill has a chance to give you a spice whenever you log in. Hence it is imperative that you max out this skill to increase the possibility of obtaining a spice or three if you are insanely lucky.
Some customers can actually give you spices. Keep an eye out for the things they say to you during conversation and you might be starting a quest that will reward you with spice.
Once you reach level 6 you can access the café’s phone. Through this feature you can order spices and fulfill takeouts for additional income.
My Café: Recipes and Stories Servers Tips
Speed is among the skills that Ann and the other servers could have. As you can directly help with the orders there is very little need to choose a server with this skill or to level up Ann’s Speed. If you are the kind of player who would rather watch them move around the café instead of giving some direct help then I guess you should give this skill some attention.
The Daily Gift skill of Ann rewards you with a random item once a day when you open the game. Leveling it up to 10 will give you three gifts a day. Give this skill at least one point so you can have an added bonus whenever you play every day.
The candidates for potential servers refresh every day in 2017. Try to hunt for the server with the lowest-possible hiring cost and with a valuable skill.
There we go with the tips and tricks for My Café: Recipes and Stories. I hope that the things written here will help you build a very successful café. Just take the customer’s orders and beautify your café to ensure the regular flow of income.

Cocktail and coffee: The most beautiful roof terraces in Munich
16 April 2013 by Yvonne | 9 Comments
We were sipping cocktails. Of course no ordinary cocktails, but cocktails with a view. Here are three tips for you, where you can perfectly chill ordering great food and drinks – while enjoying a top view over Munich.
Hotspot # 1: Café Vorhoelzer
The cafe is situated on the 5th floor (and for the lazy of us: with elevator access) – directly on the roof of the Technical Univerity of Munich (TU München). There you have a 270 ° panoramic view over the city’s rooftops.
You can enjoy the beautiful sight while having a short brake. Coffee and all the other stuff is being prepared right before your eyes. And for the hungry they offer tasty lunch menues that even students can afford.
The cafe is open even in winter and in summer. In summertime, in addition to the deck chairs on the roof terrace, you will find cushions to it to get comfortable.
And who wants to throw a big party ne: One can also rent the cafe and make celebrations outside opening times.
But beware: It is not easy to find the right staircase and thus the cafe Vorhoelzer. And since the café is very popular among students by now, it may also happen that you have to quew behind 20 people at the bar.
Hotspot # 2: The roof terrace of the hotel “Bayerischer Hof”
The Bayerischer Hof Hotel is known for its distinguished guests. For example Empress Sisi of Austria and Michael Jackson have descended here. But where normally the prominence of the first squad walks along the red carpet, even mortals can take the elevator to the sixth floor and then go up a few stairs to walk to the roof terrace.
There you get a great 300-degree view over the city centre – directly to Frauenkriche, City Hall and the oldest church in Town, Old Peter. And here you can sip a cocktail, enyoing the view. On average, they cost a maximum of one Euro more than in other bars in town. Which is not cheap – like everything in Munich – but the price is ok. Especially if you think about this fantastic view.
Hotspot # 3: The roof terrace in the hotel / restaurant “German Oak” (Deutsche Eiche)
A similar view is also available from the rooftop terrace of the hotel / restaurant “German Oak” (Deutsche Eiche). The traditional house is one of the oldest venues of gay and lesbian scene and is located near the Gärtnerplatz. From the roof terrace, it even offers a 360-degree panoramic views of Munich. Actually, the roof terrace is only for hotel guests. But if you ask nicely, may also be allowed to go up – at least the owner has assured us 🙂
Hotspot # 4: The China Moon Roof Terrace at the Mandarin Oriental
The China Moon Roof Terrace from the Mandarin Oriental Hotel is located in the center of Munich – it is an exclusive summer hot spot in the middle of downtown!
Designer furniture, lots of plants and a comprehensive 360-degree view will compensate for even the most strenuous sightseeing. You can try asian-oriental food there at sunset in the evening or or enjoy delicious cocktails in the afternoon sun. Please taste the delicious Gin Basil!
The rooftop pool is open to hotel guests only, but normal mortals also do have access from 12 to 22 o’clock!
Hotspot # 5: The Olympic Tower
If you want to see Schwabing from above and recover your tired feet, you can relax at the rotating restaurant in the Olympic Tower. You reach the restauraunt, 181 meters up in the air, and the viewing plattform by an elevator going up within a minute. At noon you can have lunch or simply have a snack. By night it is rather elegant. While you are dining, the restaurant slowly rotates 360 degrees in a circle. A “round” lasts about 40 minutes. On a clear day, you have a great view of Munich and the mountains. And especially fascintaing is a look inside the Olympic Stadium from above. A few steps up, above the rotating restaurant, there is a little rock music museum and the viewig plattform. So you needn’t necessarily go to the resuartant. You can also simply enjoy the view. After the visit at the Olympic Tower you can easily walk across the bridge that crosses “Mittlerer Ring” (a kind of autobahn through the city) and end up in front of the BMW Welt and the BMW Museum.
We really, really hope that spring / summer finally come!

Dachterrasse Bayerischer Hof
Yesterday it was my girlfriend’s 30th birthday. We wanted to do something special in Munich and celebrate it as she deserves. So we decided to go to the terrace of the Bayerischer Hof. The terrace is beautiful and the views are awe-inspiring. But the service is disastrous. The prices are clearly higher than in other bars or restaurants and for this reason we were expecting a sublime service. Well nothing is further from the truth.
When we got there, we had no reservation, so we asked if they had any free table for 2. A waiter told us the terrace was fully booked, but we could sit on any table that gets available on a certain side space on the terrace. So we waited. When a table got free we sat. A waitress came to us and told us someone was already waiting for that table, so we apologized, stood up and kept on waiting. Some minutes later another table was going to get free and another couple came and took it before we could react. We were expecting the waitress to tell them that table was reserved for us, but she didn’t. I asked her to do her job and tell those customers that that table was for us, but she kept on arguing with us and tried to avoid doing her job. Instead she told us to take the next table that gets free. I got a little annoyed and I finally convinced her to do her job. She went to the table and said something to the other customers but they did not stand up and let us sit on the table that was theoretically reserved for us, which means that she didn’t do her job as she should have. She did not apply the same treatment to us as she did for the previous customer. She applied preferential treatment to the previous customer. That is unfair, rude and unprofessional.
Luckily another table got free some minutes later and we could finally sit.
We ordered beverages and food. The waiter brought the beverage for my girlfriend and 5 minutes later the beverage for me. As far as I understand, he should have served both beverages at the same time, especially when it comes to an exclusive restaurant.
Some minutes later he brought the starter. The food was very good. The Carpaccio was fantastic.
When we finished the starter, the waiter took around 20 minutes to bring us the main dishes, which I found way too long indeed. The main dishes were tasty and special.
When we finished having dinner, we chatted for a while and felt like going home, so we ordered the bill. The waiter took 30 minutes to bring it. Unbelievable. He decided that picking up glasses and cleaning other tables was a priority. After 15 minutes we ordered the bill again and he said it was already ordered in an unpleasant tone. This was not true, because he was the one in charge of printing the bill at the cash. He didn’t apologize for the delay. When we finally got the bill, we paid and in order to show our dissatisfaction, we decided not to tip. At this point, the waiter did not take his chance either to apologize and he didn’t even say goodbye.
The waiters from Bayerischer Hof are not professional waiters. They are arrogant students that have not received the proper training to serve customers that pay high prices for beverages and food. It is shameful that with such high prices, they do not hire more professional waiters or at least give them proper training. There should be more waiters on the terrace to reduce the time to serve customers or if you want to create an exclusive atmosphere, you should not let some many people in at the same time. That is a serious fault of the management from Bayerischer Hof.
We were expecting to have a great time and an exclusive experience on Andrea’s 30th birthday at Bayerischer Hof, but it turned out to be certainly unpleasant. I have to admit that, when we have dinner at regular restaurants, we pay 1/3 of what we paid at Bayerischer Hof, they treat us a lot better and they serve us a lot faster.

Munich’s Best: Coffee
Share this:
Coffee. That precious liquid that helps us get through the day. I’ve come up with the ultimate list of Munich’s best places for a cup of java. Enjoy!
Man versus Machine
Opening hours: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 9am-7pm
A seriously cute little cafe at Elisabethmarkt, the cafe offers some lovely outdoor seating that’s ideal for people-watching in the summer months. The coffee’s from local roaster Johannes Bayer, and it’s so good that I have several packs of his coffee at home – it’s lightly roasted and packed full of flavour. He’s something of a star in the coffee world, and also ships his beans across the Atlantic to excited US cafe owners.
Markt auf dem Elisabethplatz
Opening hours: Monday-Saturday 8:30am-5pm
The baristas at Mahlefitz take their coffee extremely seriously. If you want to take some beans home, you can’t have them ground for you in advance – they ask that you grind the beans freshly. The cafe itself is large – it’s always possible to find a seat, and they offer regular coffee courses in the cafe’s rooms. Oh, and do visit their toilet – it’s very Alpen!
Nymphenburger Str. 51
Opening hours: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 1pm-6pm
Opening hours: Monday-Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday 10am-6pm
Located in Munich’s Au district, Cafe Bla celebrates Icelandic coffee culture. It’s only been open since the end of October, and their aromatic filter coffee is wonderful (beans sourced from Vits). If you’re feeling brave, you can try some rotten shark (mmm!), washed down with a shot of pungent brennivín (aka black death), for that full Icelandic feeling.
Opening hours: Wednesday-Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday 9:30am-6pm, Sunday 9:30am-5:30pm
Sometimes you want a strong Italian espresso – nothing more, nothing less. Neuhausen’s Kaffee Espresso & Barista sell and advise on coffee machines, but you can also pop by for a good coffee, a panini and a read of the newspaper. It’s a quintessentially Italian cafe with strong espressi and creamy cappucini. For something a little less ordinary, head to their sister cafe, Cafe Espresso Kolonial, just around the corner.
Opening hours: Monday-Friday 7am-7pm, Saturday 8:30am-6pm, Sunday 9am-6pm
Emilo’s expanded a lot since the roastery was founded in 2012. Emilo coffee is now widely available across the city – Basic and Alnatura supermarkets stock it, Zöttl bakeries stock and serve it, and they have two of their own cafes. They have a huge range of different coffees, many of them are organic, and all of them are delicious.
Monday-Friday 7am-6pm, Saturday 9am-6pm
If you know of a place that serves great coffee that I’ve missed off this list, do comment and let me know – I’m always keen to discover new places!

Great list. If I may be so bold to suggest one more. Necado Kaffeeladen in Schwabing is pretty damn fine and worth sampling if you are in that part of town. http://www.necado.com/necado/necado.html
Thanks for the tip!
If you should be in the area of Haidhausen, check VogelMaier Kafferösterei, they opened this summer. Very relaxed, alpenländisch. Nice owner. And the brasilian roast is quite good!
Oh cool, thank you!
Hey Rachel, thanks for the list, I’ll definitely give some of those a try!
Caffé Fausto (https://www.caffe-fausto.de/Unser_Cafe.html) in the idyllic Krämmersche Kunstmühle is where we buy our freshly roasted coffee. You can also taste it in their laid back café. Highly recommended.
Grenzgänger in Haidhausen is also worth a recommendation. A tiny shop with a few tables for tastings, specialized in wines and coffee imported from Italy. They have been around since almost 40 years, so they must be doing something right. https://www.yelp.de/biz/grenzg%C3%A4nger-weinhandlung-daiser-m%C3%BCnchen
I completely forgot about Grenzgänger, thanks for reminding me, they really are an institution in Haidhausen.
I’m looking forward to trying out Fausto, too!
Hey Rachel, thanks for the neat list! Anyway, you might wanna try Aroma Kaffeebar. It’s a 5-minute walk from Sendlinger Tor and can be easily found by Google Maps. It’s a small, cozy and warm coffee bar with wood interiors. They serve manual coffee with diverse beans too. Xx
