Willkommen im Stern Kaffee am Paulsplatz, einem Ort in der Frankfurter Altstadt an dem mehr als 65 Jahre Tradition, Leidenschaft und die besten Bohnen aus aller Welt aufeinander treffen.

Im Jahr 1948 begann Hermann Wissmüller das Rösten von kleinen Mengen feinstem Rohkaffee in dem kleinen Hinterhaus, der Kaffeerösterei Stern in der Leipziger Straße 39 in Bockenheim. Das Mutterhaus ist auch heute noch so lebhaft vorzufinden, wie es damals seine Geschichte begann. Seit über 65 Jahren wird der Betrieb als Familienunternehmen gepflegt, mit sorgsam und anspruchsvoll ausgewählten Rohkaffees, die vor Ort im besonders schonenden Röstverfahren ihre Vollendung finden.

In dritter Generation möchte unser Stern Kaffee am Paulsplatz mit traditionellen Werten und höchster Qualität nun auch die Herzen der lebhaften Frankfurter Altstadt, seiner Anwohner und seiner Besucher erobern und wir freuen uns sehr, Sie als Kunden bei uns begrüßen zu dürfen.

Kaffeerösterei Stern – Coffee, coffee, coffee!

If you are one of those people who cannot stand facing daylight without your cup of coffee, this is the place for you. This family-run coffee-roasting shop and café has a long experience in selling coffee to serious users – you can choose your beans à lá carte and buy them freshly ground on the spot. This makes the smell around this coffee shop absolutely inebriating.

Most of the times, I am most inclined to have my coffee outside. Luckily, this nice little store offers a café area. Plenty of tables rustically distributed along the sides of the courtyard set the scenery for after-work espressos and gluttonous Saturday morning breakfasts. Although next to the lively Leipzigerstraße, Kaffeerösterei Stern offers a relaxing environment, dotted by the chatter of couples and small groups of friends.

I will note that the only downside of this place is that it is closed on Sundays – how many times have I wished it was open, for a cappuccino and a slice of that luxurious, delicious coconut marble cake!

Nonetheless, it is open every other day of the week, so take your time to enjoy a good local-brewed coffee and home-made-like delicacies, and appreciate the unique atmosphere of tradition, in a place where you are always served with a smile.

Wacker's Kaffee

Es ist schön, dass dieser kleinen Laden als Frankfurter Original oder auch als Institution der Bankenmetropole gesehen wird. Dies erfüllt uns mit Freude und wir sind stolz, mit dem ersten Kaffeehaus unter dem Namen Wacker einen Platz innerhalb der Frankfurter Geschichte eingenommen zu haben.

Seit nun mehr 100 Jahren steht die Familie von Luise Wacker für feinsten Kaffeegenuß. Lernen Sie unsere Familie kennen.

Es wurden jede Menge Zeitungsartikel und Berichte über Wacker's Kaffee geschrieben. Im Pressebereich können Sie diese einsehen.

Für Gruppen ab 20 Personen bieten wir eine ca. 2,5 stündige Rösterei Führungen an. Sie haben Interesse dann schauen Sie hier.

Alles fing im Jahr 1914 an. Luise Wacker schloss ihre Ausbildung ab und eröffnete das erste Wacker's Kaffee. Weiter geht es hier.

Better than the coffee still is the location itself. While downstairs is a bit narrow and squeezed, upstairs has a charming living room atmosphere with different rustic tables and chairs and a few historic pictures. The window seats overlook the Paul's square toward Paul's Church.

Though it was Sunday late morning, it was empty and very quiet. You could certainly come here for reading your morning newspaper or writing a journal or so.

We stopped there 2 or 3.

Aber hier muss man definitiv Glück haben einen Platz zu bekommen, denn es sind schon mehrere dahinter gekommen, das es hier den besten Kaffee gibt!

Der köstliche Duft von frisch geröstetem Kaffee weist einem den Weg in den versteckt gelegenen Laden von "Stern Kaffee". Ab und zu steht immer noch der 93-jährige Gründer Hermann Wissmüller hinter der großen mechanischen Waage und berät die Kunden, welche der über 20 Kaffee sorten sie wählen sollen.
