The Kaffe Virtual Machine
Kaffe is a clean room implementation of the Java virtual machine, plus the associated class libraries needed to provide a Java runtime environment. The Kaffe virtual machine is free software, licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License.
Kaffe is not an officially licensed version of the Java virtual machine. In fact, it contains no Sun/Oracle source code at all, and was developed without even looking at the Sun/Oracle source code. It is legal -- but Oracle controls the Java trademark, and has never endorsed Kaffe, so technically, Kaffe is not Java.
Kaffe has moved to GitHub! Go there to get the latest downloads, source code, and documentation.
SUSTAINABILITY
Only 12% of the world's coffee is sustainably sourced.
Indigenous female coffee farmers undertake the majority of the manual work to produce coffee, however earn less than 10% of the household income and own less than 1% of the land.
EMPOWERMENT
We're on a mission to change that. Here's how.
Our mission and U.N commitment is to empower 1 million women coffee farmers and plant 3 million climate resistant coffee and shade tree seedlings by 2030.
Sustainability
10% of your purchase of our farm fresh micro roast sustainable coffee or 2% of farm fresh sustainable green coffee products is invested into our Sustainable Program.
Coffee trade around the world is a fast-growing sector.
The global coffee trade is valued at $100 billion with annual growth rates of approx. 20%.
On the farms
42% of global trade is controlled by just three companies, while the farmers only receive an estimated 7% of the profits.
Production
25 million small producers rely on coffee for a living worldwide.
2.25 billion cups of coffee are consumed in the world every day.
1910 the first cooperative in Indonesia was established on Java island by students. This was greatly opposed by the Dutch Government, because it's signaled an independence away from colonial policy. In 2017 the Java Mountain Women's Coffee Cooperative will be the first all-women farmer membered cooperative to be legally established in Indonesia's cooperative history. Indondesia is the third largest producer of coffee in the world - 8.8% of the world's coffee.
Coffee consumption is forecast to grow 3 times current demand by 2050.

Allegro Coffee Selections
Browse are wide selection of Allegro Coffee:
Single Origins
These unblended, single-farm selections are the result of our search for the one coffee in every
crop year that most completely embodies the flavors of a classic growing region.
Allegro’s approach to blendi ng stem s from an appreciation of great single origin coffees.
Our goal is to preserve and present classic varietal flavors in new combinations, which offer a
degree of complexity and consistency that no single coffee can provide.
Espresso is a delicious, intense and complex expression of the very essence of coffee.
The following blends are specifically formulated for espresso brewing. They are truly extraordinary
espresso coffees, unsurpassed in quality at any price.
Decaffeinated
Allegro’s Swiss Water decaffeination process allows for the gentle extraction of caffeine from green coffee. Selected beans are soaked in Green Coffee Extract (GCE) which is pure water saturated with soluble solid from green coffee. Over time, with proper temperature control, the caffeine migrates out of the green beans into the GCE. The water is filtered through a carbon filter which captures and extracts the caffeine molecules. These decaf coffees are 99.9% caffeine free.
Certified Organics
Certified organic coffee is grown without the use of pesticides and fertilizers that are prohibited in the U.S. National Organic Standards. Organic farming practices support the meticulous ecological balance maintained on farms and contribute to the extraordinary quality of specialty coffee. Coffee farms and processing facilities are certified organic by a third-party certifying agency.
Flavored Coffees
Chocolate. Vanilla. Hazelnut. And more. Go ahead, treat yourself!
David Lynch Signature Cup Organic Coffee
Choosing only organically grown beans, famed film director David Lynch established an extensive, personalized testing method and began to systematically narrow down the field of his favorite roasts and beans. He continued for months, testing and tweaking the profiles on his favorites, eventually choosing three unique coffee blends to package under his own label.

James Gosling has invented java, when he got the idea he had the coffee in his hand.
The language was initially called Oak after an oak tree that stood outside Gosling's office. Later the project went by the name Green and was finally renamed Java, from Java coffee.
"I named Java," said Kim Polese, then the Oak product manager and now CEO of Marimba Inc. "I spent a lot of time and energy on naming Java because I wanted to get precisely the right name. I wanted something that reflected the essence of the technology: dynamic, revolutionary, lively, fun. Because this programming language was so unique, I was determined to avoid nerdy names. I also didn't want anything with 'Net' or 'Web' in it, because I find those names very forgettable. I wanted something that was cool, unique, and easy to spell and fun to say.
"I gathered the team together in a room, wrote up on the whiteboard words like 'dynamic,' 'alive,' 'jolt,' 'impact,' 'revolutionary,' et cetera, and led the group in brainstorming," Polese said. "The name [Java] emerged during that session. Other names included DNA, Silk, Ruby, and WRL, for WebRunner Language -- yuck!"- Kim Polese

Java is an island, not coffee,
Java is a place from where coffee is exported to USA for many years. So in USA sometimes coffee is referred as java and the beans are call java beans.
Sun Microsystems, renamed OAK to 'JAVA' with some changes and launched it in the same year. Developers around the globe immediately found Java's potential and the WWW got its new look and Java took the world by storm
Java is a type of coffee, some ppl say "would u like a cup of Java" so I guess it's coffee, does it matter as long as it works? I don't understand the ? really.
In 1990's they tried to develop a portable application that can run on any micro chip. Not surprisingly, the team chose C++ to accomplish this task. But soon they found that there are many features in C++ that prevented it from being PORTABLE.
This may be the relation between Java and coffee cup
just that they produce coffee and common use has made java another word for coffee.

I received mine today and I’m drinking the hazelnut now. Its good, in fact for an instant coffee it’s absolutely delicious!!
I really wasn’t sure about this project because I have totally hated any instant coffees I have ever tried but you had so many loyal backers that I figured I’d give it a shot.
Well you now have one more loyal backer/customer here. Good luck with everything!
I’ve received my Jiva cubes a couple of weeks ago. I’ve really been enjoying my morning cups of coffee. Today is Sunday and first thing this morning I made a bid cup of coffee with three cubes. It was delicious.
It was so good, I’m now heating up some more hot water for a “2-cube” mug! Thanks for coming up with and delivering upon your promise. I’m proud to be a Backer!
Jiva Coffee Cubes tasting, night 3! Tonight is caramel hot chocolate. Two cubes in a 10 oz cup of half hot milk and half hot water = delicious! It’s not overly sweet, and it’s got a bit of a bite to it from the caramel. Definitely a grown-up’s hot cocoa.
Last night was hazelnut coffee, and the night before was french vanilla coffee. French vanilla is definitely my favourite, but hazelnut has got a good flavour to it, as well. Neither flavour needed to be further sweetened nor did I add any cream/milk. (The latter is extremely odd in my case!)
Flavours left to try: classic coffee, mocha coffee, caramel coffee, and hot chocolate.
Received my reward cubes today. The new packaging is beautiful! Trying the caramel coffee now iced. It’s delicious!! Very excited to try the other flavors. So happy to be a part of your journey. It’s been interesting and fun to watch your growth and development of a great product from the beginning. I appreciate all your hard work. Great job!
Thank you again! They have been delicious and a great addition to bring to work! I’ve enjoyed the coffee as iced coffee so far!
I received my order a few weeks ago and was extremely excited to try them even though I was planning to save them for a camping trip. I thought the hazelnut was delicious!
When I tried the classic cold, I thought it was delicious. Overall very happy, and now that I know there is a stronger flavor I’m excited to try more. I want to buy more for an upcoming camping trip
Received my decaf cubes yesterday and made the decaf this morning, it is delicious. Thank you for a terrific product, I will be happily bringing the cubes to work where there is no decaf available and making myself an excellent cup of coffee ever day…
I wish you much success!
For someone like me who ends up traveling a lot, these make a GREAT substitute for the nasty tar they try to serve on airplanes as coffee.
Far better than other instant coffees too, like those “Via” packets from Starbucks (which are almost as bad as airplane coffee).
Mine arrived yesterday just in time for camping. I tried a classic strong with 4oz water and loved it. Nice and sweet but not too much. Im normally a plan espresso drinker, no sugar or cream. Loved the sweet side of the cubes.
Funny though, I was surprised how small they were. I still love my hand made espresso machine with PID, and will carry the aero press when traveling. These will become another flavor/caffeine option in my bag. Thanks

Caffe
Deep learning framework by BAIR
Caffe is a deep learning framework made with expression, speed, and modularity in mind. It is developed by Berkeley AI Research (BAIR) and by community contributors. Yangqing Jia created the project during his PhD at UC Berkeley. Caffe is released under the BSD 2-Clause license.
Check out our web image classification demo!
Expressive architecture encourages application and innovation. Models and optimization are defined by configuration without hard-coding. Switch between CPU and GPU by setting a single flag to train on a GPU machine then deploy to commodity clusters or mobile devices.
Extensible code fosters active development. In Caffe’s first year, it has been forked by over 1,000 developers and had many significant changes contributed back. Thanks to these contributors the framework tracks the state-of-the-art in both code and models.
Speed makes Caffe perfect for research experiments and industry deployment. Caffe can process over 60M images per day with a single NVIDIA K40 GPU*. That’s 1 ms/image for inference and 4 ms/image for learning and more recent library versions and hardware are faster still. We believe that Caffe is among the fastest convnet implementations available.
Community: Caffe already powers academic research projects, startup prototypes, and even large-scale industrial applications in vision, speech, and multimedia. Join our community of brewers on the caffe-users group and Github.
