Im Café könnt ihr einen Kaffee trinken oder einen Kaffee-to-go kaufen, den euer Charakter mit nach draußen nehmen und trinken kann. Ihr könnt hier ebenfalls als Aushilfe für Kofi arbeiten.

Wie bekomme ich das Café?

Um das Café bauen zu können, musst du insgesamt 50 Objekte (Fossilien, Gemälde, Fische, Insekten) im Museum gestiftet haben und den Museumsshop besitzen. Sieben Tage nach der Eröffnung des Museumsshops musst du mit Eugen reden. Er wird dir dann von einem Freund erzählen, der ein toller Kaffeewirt ist, aber keinen Platz für sein Café hat. Das Café kostet 298.000 Sternis und du kannst es als Stadtverschönerung bei Melinda beantragen.

Nach deiner vierten Tasse Kaffee kannst du auch einen Kaffee-to-go kaufen. Du kannst fünf mal aus dem Becher trinken, dann ist er leer. Mit dem Becher in der Hand kannst du dich auch zum Beispiel auf eine Bank setzen und deinen Kaffee dort trinken.

Nach deiner sechsten Tasse Kaffee bietet Kofi dir einen Teilzeitjob an. Du kannst außer an Feiertagen oder Events immer arbeiten.

Im Café kannst du außerdem besondere Besucher und Bewohner zu verschiedenen Uhrzeiten auffinden:

Teilzeitjob

Nach deiner sechsten Tasse Kaffee bietet dir Kofi einen Teilzeitjob an, den du am nächsten Tag beginnen kannst. Du kannst dann jeden Tag (ausgenommen Feiertage) ab 12 Uhr ein Mal bei Kofi arbeiten.

Wenn du im Café arbeitest werden 3 Nachbarn (diese können aus deiner Stadt oder aus anderen Städten sein) und ein besonderer Besucher kommen, um ihre Bestellung aufzugeben. Jeder Charakter hat seinen ganz eigenen Lieblingskaffee, also merke dir gut, wer was möchte, denn nach einiger Zeit werden sie nur noch „das Übliche“ sagen.

Kleiner Tipp: Die Nachbarn möchten oft genau so viel Zucker, wie sie Milch wollen – also zum Beispiel wenig Milch und ein Löffel Zucker, oder viel Milch und drei Löffel Zucker. Wenn du aber trotzdem lieber sicher gehen möchtest, um deinem Lieblingsnachbarn auch ganz sicher den richtigen Kaffee zu geben, schau hier nach:

Es gibt aber auch besondere Geschenke. Diese Geschenke bekommst du, wenn du eine bestimmte Anzahl an Bestellungen richtig hast. Der Kaffee muss nicht perfekt sein, auch wenn du, zum Beipiel schon die richtige Milchsorte hast, zählt das als eine richtige Bestellung. Bei einem perfekten Kaffee sind es dann 3 richtige Bestellungen.

Now that Animal Crossing: New Leaf is finally out worldwide and most folks have probably unlocked the QR reader function by now, I’d say it’s high time for another QR Code Extravaganza post! As always, this is by no means an exhaustive list, but rather me highlighting some of the designs that have caught my eye recently. And let me tell you, there are plenty…

Let me tell you, that is one fine tush! I’m glad Tumblr user bhakri filled this gaping hole in Animal Crossing: New Leaf QR codes. Now, to decide where to put the booty…

Here’s a great set of QR codes for all the Revolutionary Girl Utena fans out there. I love how it comes with a dress version of Utena’s jacket and two different shirt variations. And Anthy’s dress is gorgeous! Click the source in the caption for the full QR codes!

I have a few Japanese QR code blogs that I check regularly, and the Hiyoko’s My Design Blog is definitely one of my favorites. The above yukatas are part of her summer collection, and I just think they’re adorable! I can’t wait to have my character wear one during to a festival this summer.

Hiyoko has also written a few My Design tutorials, which I highly recommend checking out if you’re having a hard time making your own designs. I particularly like this menu sign one… I might even try my hand at it, myself! Don’t be intimidated by the fact that it’s in Japanese – the diagrams make it easy to follow along.

I recently stumbled upon Pixiv illustrator Meyu‘s work, and not only am I completely enamored with her illustration work, but her QR codes, as well! She mostly does patterns, and though I don’t normally use wall/furniture patterns, I think I’ll have to go out of my way to find a use for these. They’re just too cute!

And here’s her second batch of equally-adorable patterns. I think they would look great in a café-themed room!

After seeing this, I realized that I haven’t found very many matching outfit sets, but I think it’s great idea! I’d love to see more outfit sets with different themes in the future.

And finally, it wouldn’t be a Chic Pixel QR code roundup without a video game QR code, now would it? I’m so glad someone made the shirt the wanderer wears in the The Shadow of the Colossus!

Oh my gosh, BUTTS. I might have to use that one. Bwahaha. There’s so many amazing QR codes for this game I’m going to cry because I can’t use all of them at the same time.

The butt design made me giggle, I wish I could design stuff like that, all those designs are so cute!

As much as I love the butts design, my personal fave has to be the harness–which I may have to use on my male (Bryan) character next week.

Also, I checked out Meyu’s stuff and … WOW, is it awesome! I have to find a way to use that mushroom wallpaper design in my house somewhere…

I knew the English release would bring an onslaught of new awesome QR code designs! XD

Not a silly question at all! Sorry about that! If you’re not familiar with Pixiv, you generally have to click on the image to see the rest of the images in the set. — Peggy, City Folk Peggy ( ちえり , Chieri ? ) is a peppy pig villager from the Animal Crossing series. She originally appeared in the Japanese-only Animal Forest e+, was cut out of Wild World, and returned in City Folk. Her name may be a parody of Miss Piggy from the Muppets, a parody simply on the word piggy (a colloquial term for pig), or from the brand of sweets called Peggy Pig and Pals. Her catchphrase is a play on the word "sweetie", a possible reference to Peggy Pig and Pals.

Coffee is a feature in Wild World and subsequent games available from The Roost in Wild World and City Folk and the Cafe in New Leaf. It is available as a held item in New Leaf after three coffees have been ordered.

Coffee can be purchased from Brewster once per day. The player will respond to the particular taste and flavoring of the coffee after drinking it.

When a player becomes a regular visitor, Brewster will offer "pigeon milk" which lightens the color of the coffee. Coffee can be bought in other towns from City Folk onwards, whereas this option is not available in Wild World.

In New Leaf the coffee item can be held like a tool. The player sips from the coffee after pressing A, finishing the drink after five sips.

In all games from Wild World onwards it is shown that villagers and some other characters also drink coffee. In New Leaf several different villagers from the town and other towns that the player has visited may stop by the Cafe to buy coffee, as will other characters such as Tom Nook, Tortimer and Pelly.

Each character has their own coffee preferences. This information is important when a daily job opens up after six coffees allowing the player to serve coffee to visiting characters.

Acnl kaffee

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the café, known as The Roost, is a public works project. There, you can drink coffee, encounter villagers and special characters, and even get a part time job.

Building the Roost

The Roost is a public works project, but it isn't available in your list of public works projects right away. After you have built the museum gift shop and have donated at least 50 items to the museum, one day Blathers will ask that you build the café. After that, The Roost becomes available as an option in the public works list. Just sit in your mayor chair and choose it from the list of public works projects, then go outside with Isabelle to choose where to build it.

Drinking Coffee

You can drink coffee at The Roost. Just sit in the stool in front of Brewster and order your coffee. You can only drink coffee once per day. At first he will serve plain coffee, but the more times you order coffee, the more options Brewster will give you, such as adding milk and sugar or choosing the coffee beans.

Encountering Special Characters

At certain times of day, you will find a special character sitting on a stool at the bar. The following list shows the schedule.

Part Time Job

After you have had seven cups of coffee from The Roost, you can get a part time job by talking to Brewster while standing at the right side of the bar. The part time job is a mini-game where you must serve coffee to villagers and special characters. Typically, three villagers (not always from your town) will ask for coffee, Each animal has a preferred combination of coffee beans, milk, and sugar. If you make the customers happy, Brewster will reward you with coffee beans to take home, as well as rare furniture items. If you do well over time, your rewards get better and better until you get a rare set of Brewster gyroids. Here is a list of the rewards that you can receive.

Villager Coffee List

The following table lists the coffee preferences of all animal villagers. Note: For villagers (but not special characters), the amount of milk always matches the amount of sugar. In other words, if the milk is 'none', the sugar will also be 'none'. If the milk is 'the regular amount', the sugar will be 'Two spoonfuls'. And so on. However, the coffee beans don't necessarily match these amounts.

How to Make Coffee

There are lots of ways to make coffee, but there are a few tricks you can use to make a really good cup of coffee. If you don't have a coffee maker handy, don't worry; you can still enjoy coffee by placing a coffee dripper over a mug, using a French press, or using a mug and a tea towel!.

It isn't "good," but it probably isn't that bad either. Just try to keep it to one cup. Caffeine is addictive and with any addictive substance it's easy to start consuming more and more. Don't have caffeine in the late afternoon/evening, and try to quit if you find you're not getting adequate sleep.

Some people can drink instant coffee, provided the water is not allowed to reach boiling point; stop the kettle just before the water starts bubbling or even at a lower temperature, this is an art more than it's a science because it depends on ambient temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. This is to try not to destroy the fragile aromatic molecules that give Coffee its pleasant smell and taste. Some people go a bit further and put a certain amount of cold water, to mix with the incoming hot water to try to preserve the aromatic compounds. Some people don't like instant coffee, so they drink other coffee blends; the best way is to experiment.

Double shot of espresso into the mug, and steam the milk much like with a latte - but with a bit less foam. Pour over until shorter than a latte, but taller than a cortado.
