Formed in New Orleans in 1981 by Paul Caporino, the lineup of the band has seen many changes over the years, with Caporino being the only consistent member. The band has recorded many albums, singles and CDs, including several albums for the Chicago-based record label Criminal IQ Records.

UWE FROM KAFFEE KULT’S EXPERIENCE WITH IKAWA PRO SAMPLE ROASTER

Kult Kaffee is a roastery with a café, based in Heiligenhaus, in the German Ruhr Area. Owner Uwe Liebergall started the business with cafés and selling to local restaurants and cafés. The business grew and we now serve over 500 cups daily and roast over 2,000 kilos of coffee monthly. Uwe is also a member of the German Roasters Guild.

“Our style is to provide the best possible coffee. Sourcing great coffee is of critical importance”, Uwe explains. Uwe was introduced to the IKAWA machine in 2011 at a fair in Vienna and could instantly see how it would help his business: Uwe became one of IKAWA’s first customers back in 2012.

“I often need to roast many samples in a short period of time. We have now used IKAWA for over 2 years and it has become an essential tool in our business – roasting just the right amount for a cupping. Another goal is to create roast-profiles on the IKAWA, which could be easily transferred on our production roasters”.

This spring, Kult Kaffee opened a completely new roastery which includes a built-in café. “We believe technology can help to make a better coffee experience – IKAWA fits this very well. We also love the sturdy and sleek design of the roaster – which resonates with our the architecture and atmosphere we have created here”.

“The IKAWA roaster allows us, for instance, to quickly evaluate various blends – which is virtually impossible to do on all the other roasting equipment we have: If I were to use the Giessen or Probat, I would need to use 5 kilograms to make a sample roast – and the machine would still be warming up by the time the IKAWA has already roasted a sample.”

“To my experience, the IKAWA roaster can do the same as a drum sample roaster – but doesn’t need such close supervision and can be replicated exactly. I would absolutely recommend it for sample roasting.”

Just adding a note, smoking is prohibited now in Baden-WÃ¼rttemberg, so every restaurant is now smoke free.

They now have a separated smoking area. so both smokers and non smokers don't disturb each other.

As read from the internet, we went there with great expectations. But we found nothing special about this cafe. Ordinary. Stay at home, buy some marmalades and cheese in small plastic packages, would be better and cheaper.

You're right. If you want a cheap breakfast (anywhere for that matter), stay at home. If you want quality, be prepared to pay for it. No one said Kaffee Kult was pretending to be any more than a nice little cafe in the middle of the Schwetzingerstadt.

extremly unfriendly and arrogant service, very unflexible, treated us badly, almost kicked us out because we dared to come around lunch hour with a baby-trolley (!) and the second time made us pay something we didnÂ´t order like taht neither we ate it (it was only an extra for 1,- euro but they still made us pay it and told us basically we have to oay and shut up - even we DID NOT EAT it neitehr ordered it like they brought it to us). so there is not gonna be a third time we go and the service is as I said very, very unfriendly, arrogant and we did not feel comfortable or welcoemd at all! NEVER AGAIN!

The place is tiny. How do you expect to squeeze a pram in there? To me, that's arrogance to the non-pram wielding lunch guests and the wait staff. I sometimes think they are too friendly there!
